Rule #2: Get Inspiration From Others

There is nothing wrong from getting you fashion ideas from other people. Seeing how others put their clothes together can influence and entire trend. Thus, getting ideas from others is NOT a bad thing! How do you think the world functions? One person takes an idea from someone else, expands upon it, and makes it their own. The key word from getting inspiration from another is EXPANSION. As individuals, it is important to build upon others ideas so that we can show our own personality and creativity. Therefore, I am NOT saying to go out and buy the EXACT same outfit that you see on someone else. Instead, you should see how that person is putting their clothing together and then tailor that look to fit you by using what you have or by buying similar pieces. Make your clothes express who YOU are, NOT who someone else is! Some of the key places I use to get inspiration are lookbook and fashion blogs on instagram. There are so many other options, such as magazines, friends, family, etc. Just make sure you are being creative and staying true to yourself!
